I have been to this place half a dozen times and I'm yet to be disappointed. The staff are very polite and friendly and accommodating of any dietary requests. The ambience is very vibrant and wait time to get your food is surprisingly low (approx. 10 minutes) Must tries - Paneer Butter Masala, Vada Pav, Chole Bhature. Has some vegan-friendly options too.

Was looking to try something different so came here for lunch and was pleasantly surprised. This place was empty when I came which is a shame it's definitely under rated! The food is readily tasty and also pretty affordable.

Delicious and great prices too. Hit the spot. Food is on the spicier side so ask first! I had a fresh vada pav which was basically a spicy flavourful chip butty (which I am a huge fan of too). Lovely tea as well. Games and clean loo too. Be back soon I think!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I recently visited Desi Dhaba and it was a fantastic experience! We tried Vada Pav, Samosa Pav, Pav Bhaji, and Chole Bhature – every single dish was bursting with authentic flavor. The taste instantly reminded me of the street food from my hometown in India. The spices, freshness, and presentation were just perfect. I love this place! The chole bhature was nourishing and delicious. I enjoyed a rose milkshake with my meal. My partner tried three dishes and all of them were perfect. The service was friendly and warm and you are made to feel welcome. We loved this place and we will definitely visit again when in the area. Very highly recommended!

Recently moved from London to Leicester and I’ve been slowly exploring all the food places. Let me tell you, Desi Street Food didn’t disappoint! Food was lovely and fresh. It also reminded me of back home with it’s authentic taste and the portion sizes were great too. I will definitely be going back!

Really nice Desi/Indian street food eatery in a quiet part of Leicester, but only 7 or 8 mins walk from the main shopping area in the City. Authentic decor and vibe. Good selection of menu items at a reasonable price. Staff are attentive and efficient. Karack chai was a nice accompaniment with the food. Would definitely go again when in Leicester

I went here for the first time with my sisters the other day after driving past a couple of times. The food had exceeded my expectations🤯 We had mango lassi, 2 with plant based yogurt and 1 without and it was so delicious and authentic. My sister ordered a Bombay sandwich and personally I’m not a fan of sandwiches. However, she made me try it and let me tell you, this will be the only sandwich I’ll eat. The flavours in the food were astounding 👏🏽 And the only problem was the extremely rude customer before us who complained about plastic being in his food (I’m sure he put it there himself) as himself and two other men were threatening the owner serving them. The owner didn’t argue back and was listening to them. I’m certain the customers wanted the food for free as the things they were saying to him were shocking. The rest of his family were sitting there and paying no attention. It all seemed a little to planned out to us. I decided to keep this in the review as I saw that he left a review himself that wasn’t true at all. Happy to support 🙏🏽 I shall be bringing my family here!- Service

Great place to eat; chilled atmosphere, very tasty, fresh food. I had the Paneer butter masala, which was delicious, very spicy! The veg biryani was really good, too, and samosas were lovely. The staff were welcoming and attentive. Child friendly and lovely decor. Overall, I would recommend

The restaurant is airy with large windows which lights it up on a sunny day There is a little Carrom table with authentic stools . I ordered Vegan Chai and Hara Bara Kebab. Best vegan chai in Leicester. Hara Bara Kebab was tasty and crispy. Lovely traditional decor with a nice village scene mural. Also service with a smile!!!!

Went here for lunch this afternoon and had a paneer samosa wrap with chips, this is going to fill me up till 6 or 7, so yummy! Lovely atmosphere inside too, brightly coloured Indian hangings. Defo going again! ❤️
